Pipe, tube, sheet, strip, plate, round bar, flat bar, forging stock, hexagon and wire.
Incoloy alloy 330 (UNS N08330; W. Nr. 1.4886) is an austenitic alloy with good high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. It has a solid solution composition and is not hardenable by heat treatment. Its high nickel and chromium provide good resistance to oxidation and carburization. Its oxidation resistance is enhanced by the silicon content. The alloy’s strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures make it a useful material for industrial heating furnaces; for muffles, retorts, conveyor systems, baskets and boxes, and various fixtures.
Available Product Forms:
Tube, sheet, strip, plate, round bar, forging stock, hexagon, wire and wire rod
INCOLOY alloy 800 is used in a variety of applications involving exposure to corrosive environments and high temperatures. It is used for heat-treating equipment such as baskets, trays, and fixtures. In chemical and petrochemical processing, the alloy is used for heat exchangers and other piping systems in nitric acid media especially where resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking is required. In nuclear power plants, it is used for steam-generator tubing. The alloy is often used in domestic appliances for sheathing of electric heating elements. In the production of paper pulp, digester-liquor heaters are often made of alloy 800. In petroleum processing, the alloy is used for heat exchangers that air cool the process stream.
Available Product Forms:
Pipe, tube, sheet, strip, plate, round bar, flat bar, forging stock, hexagon and wire
Nickel-iron-chromium alloys having the same basic composition as INCOLOY alloy 800 but with significantly higher creep-rupture strength. The higher strength results from close control of the carbon, aluminum, and titanium contents in conjunction with a high-temperature anneal. Used in chemical and petrochemical processing, in power plants for super-heater and reheater tubing, in industrial furnaces, and for heattreating equipment.
Available Product Forms:
Pipe, tube, sheet, strip, plate, round bar, flat bar, forging stock, hexagon and wire
INCOLOY alloy 825 (UNS N08825, W.Nr. 2.4858) is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, and titanium. The nickel content is sufficient for resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking. The nickel, in conjunction with the molybdenum and copper, also gives outstanding resistance to reducing environments such as those containing sulfuric and phosphoric acids.
The molybdenum also aids resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The alloy’s chromium content confers resistance to a variety of oxidizing substances such as nitric acid, nitrates and oxidizing salt. The titanium addition serves, with an appropriate heat treatment, to stabilize the alloy against sensitization to intergranular corrosion.
Available Product Forms:
Pipe, tube, sheet, strip, plate, round bar, flat bar, forging stock, hexagon and wire.
Incoloy Alloy 925 (UNS N09925) is an agehardenable nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum, copper, titanium and aluminum.
The nickel content is sufficient for protection against chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking. The nickel, in conjunction with the molybdenum and copper, also gives outstanding resistance to reducing chemicals. The molybdenum aids resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The alloy’s chromium content provides resistance to oxidizing environments. The titanium and aluminum additions cause a strengthening reaction during heat treatment.
INCOLOY alloy 925 is used in various applications requiring a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance. Because of the alloy’s resistance to sulfide stress cracking and stress-corrosion cracking in “sour” (H2S containing) crude oil and natural gas, it is used for down-hole and surface gas-well components including tubular products, valves, hangers, landing nipples, tool joints and packers. The alloy is also useful for fasteners, marine and pump shafting and high-strength piping systems
Available Product Forms:
Tube, round bar, flat bar, forging stock and wire
Incoloy alloy 945 (UNS N09945) is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant alloy designed for demanding applications in the oil and gas industry. The properties of this age hardenable nickel-iron-chromium alloy are enhanced by its contents of molybdenum, copper, niobium, titanium, and aluminum.
The alloy’s nickel content results in resistance to chlorideinduced stress corrosion cracking. Nickel, in conjunction with the molybdenum and copper, also gives alloy 945 outstanding resistance to general corrosion in reducing media. Molybdenum also imparts resistance to localized attack (pitting and crevice corrosion). The alloy’s content of chromium provides resistance in oxidizing environments. Niobium, titanium and aluminum participate in the age hardening reaction that occurs during heat treatment. Their interaction forms gamma prime and gamma double prime precipitates, which strengthen the alloy.
Available Product Forms:
Round bar, forging stock, tube and wire
Incoloy alloy A-286 (UNS S66286; W. Nr. 1.4980) is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and titanium. It is agehardenable for high mechanical properties. The alloy maintains good strength and oxidation resistance at temperatures up to about 1300°F (700°C).
The alloy is austenitic in all metallurgical conditions. The high strength and excellent fabrication characteristics of Incoloy alloy A-286 make the alloy useful for various components of aircraft and industrial gas turbines. It is also used for fastener applications in automotive engine and manifold components subject to high levels of heat and stress and in the offshore oil and gas industry.
